Prayers, spiders, glass, OCD can be attached to anything!
There are many kinds of OCD. Scrupulosity is when a person’s OCD is attached to religious belief and are often involved people who expect perfection in their thoughts and actions.
Although this is a lofty goal, it is a process but those with scrupulosity are unable to let go when they fall short.
Personal story
My OCD included the scrupulosity. I would fall asleep on my knees and hanging over my bed because I had to keep saying my prayers until they felt right. Often I felt I wasn’t saying them with enough humility or adequate humility or a blasphemous thought would enter during my prayer.
It shouldn’t bother you like that
A person’s connection with God should give comfort, peace and strength not anguish and torment. But with scrupulosity you can’t find that peace.
