A budding health advocate wrote… Some say that cruciferous vegetables are good for hypothyroidism and some strictly restrict consume these vegetables. I am confused. What is the exact answer.
My answer?….It depends…. I have a suggestion which may help you. I would avoid all cruciferous vegetables for 2 weeks while taking your temperature every morning before you arise in the morning and keeping a record of it. Then add cruciferous vegetables for 2 weeks in heavy duty amounts, taking your temperature again every morning. Then compare the two. If your temperatures went down at all, it indicates the vegetables were causing a strain on your thyroid. I believe is the best indicator.

slower body metabolism is just soo unfair! I’ve been diagnosed as having hypothyroidism which explained my sudden gain in weight. I have read that you can treat hypothyroidism by having the right diet? Yogurt, fruit, tea…
